A few months ago we ended up going to Las Vegas with some friends. It was last minute that we ended up being able to go. The other 2 couples had arranged for babysitters and had been planning it for a long time. Because it was so last minute we decided just to take Cambri with us. She was fun to have and had a great time herself. I got so caught up in what we were doing that I forgot to take pictures except for the first night. The first night we were there we rode the New York New York roller coaster, had dinner at a buffet and walked along the strip. We saw some of he new hotels and Cambri saw the Bellagio fountains for the first time....She loved it!

The next morning we were suppose to go out with our friends but Cambri ended up needing to go to the Instacare instead. We spent a couple of hours trying to find one that was open and that was in our network. Then once we got there the place was packed so we spent another couple of hours waiting. Once we got in and got her checked out for the really nasty cough and wheezing she had, they soon told us it was bronchilitis but that it was mild. The saddest part was when we had to have her breath in medicine from a machine. It lasted for 15-20 minutes and the dr's just left us with her in there to hold her down and hold the mask that had the medicine in it to her face. She cried and screamed and flailed the whole time. They also gave us a prescription to get the same stuff delivered to our house once we got home. She did get use to it after a few times at home.

After we left the Instacare we met our friends for lunch at The Original Tommy's Burger. Cambri was already doing better and we had a great afternoon. We hit a flee market after lunch and then went to dinner at Cuban place that was so good, we will be going back. Then our friends went out dancing and we went back to just chill at our hotel for the night. The next day we slept in and checked out right before lunch. We ate at a Honduran place for lunch and then hit another flee market. We then headed home and stopped in St. George for dinner.

California August 2011

Cambri went on her first trip to California last year. We went with my family to a time share in Palm Desert. I drove there with my parents, my sisters Ruth and Rachael and Rachael's baby Zoe. Both of the baby's were really good during the car ride, they didn't even fuss much. Here they being good babies in the car.

We drove there in 2 days. We stopped in Las Vegas the first night and then finished the drive to California the next day. Here we are hanging out on the bed in the hotel in Las Vegas.

McKay joined us later, he flew into Long Beach and then drove down and met us in the condo. My brother Mike also flew in from Colorado to join us. Here's McKay with Cambri getting ready to go out for a walk.

We had a really nice condo with 2 king beds, a really nice kitchen and living room and 2 balcony's. Our balcony's overlooked the golf course. Here we are together on the balcony.

One of our favorite things to do at the resort was to go to the pool. It was perfect in the evening because it was still warm but not scorching hot. We didn't have to worry about sun screen and it was usually just us there. Here we are getting ready to go to the pool and at the pool.

It wouldn't be a complete trip to California if we didn't hit the Tommy's burger for some chili burgers and fries. We met up with McKay's brother Marty and sister and brother in law Marianne and James and their 2 kids Spencer and Kenley. They were there at the same time going to Disneyland.

We also went to the beach and had so much fun. The water was cold but the weather was great and Cambri loved the sand so much she ate it! It was her first time being in the ocean.

We opted not to do the drive home and to fly home (why not when your husband works for an airline and you can just fly free). Cambri did really good on the flight. She slept for the first half and then was just really good for the 2nd half. We really enjoyed the trip and won't hesitate to take her on more vacations!

Matheson Family Reunion 2009

In July 2009 we went on a family vacation with McKay's immediate family. They whole gang was there together. The main highlights where Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, Crazy Horse, driving all day to get over the boarder to North Dakota and sleeping 17 people in 2 trailers for a week.

On the way we hit up Martin's Cove, this is James, McKay, Marianne, Danielle Marjorie, Marc, Marty and Merrill.

We have a goal to make it to every state so since we figured we would never be closer to North Dakota so we spent about 6 hours in a 5 person car with Marty, Marjorie and Merrill just to cross the boarder. Here we are being welcomed to North Dakota.

Disneyland June 2009

In June we went to Disneyland with Cesar and Johanna for her birthday. Last year you got to get in for free if you went on the day of your birthday so we tagged along with them for the party.
